Indications
"Sulphaquinoxaline is available as a powder for adding to drinking water or as premix for inclusion in diet, and is used for treating caecal and intestinal Coccidiosis in turkeys, chickens and rabbits. It also has some antibacterial activity against species of Pasteurella.
Poultry:
Coccidiosis : For use as an aid in the control of outbreaks in chickens (Eimeria tenella, E.necatrix, E. acervulina, E. maxima and E. brunetti) .
For use as an aid in the control of outbreaks in turkeys (Eimeria meleagrimitis and E. adenoeides).
For use as an aid in the control of fowl cholera caused by Pasteurella multocida, sensitive to Sulphaquinoxaline, and as an aid in the control of death losses and reduction of severity of disease in chickens and turkeys .
For use as an aid in the control of fowl typhoid caused by salmonella gallinarium sensitive to
Sulphaquinoxaline, and as an aid in the control of death losses in chickens and turkeys .
Livestock:
Coccidiosis: For use as an aid in the control of outbreaks in cattle and calves (Eimeria bovis and E. zurnii).
Warning & Precautions
May cause toxic reactions unless the drug is evenly mixed in water at doses indicated and used according to directions. Prolonged administration of Sulphaquinoxaline 20 % at higher doses may result in depressed feed intake, deposition of Sulphaquinoxaline crystals in the kidney and interference with normal blood clotting. Causes skin and eye burns. Avoid contact with the eyes, skin or clothing. In case of contact flush immediately with water for at least 15 minutes.

"Poultry:
Coccidiosis : As an aid in the control of outbreaks in chickens (Eimeria tenella, E.necatrix, E. acervulina, E. maxima and E. brunetti) : give a dose of 0.04% per 50 gallons of water . Treat for two to three days, skip for three days, then give a dose of 0.025% per 50 gallons of water and treat for two more days. If bloody droppings appear, repeat the treatment at this level for two more days. Do not change the litter unless absolutely necessary. Do not give flushing marshes.
As an aid in the control of outbreaks in turkeys (Eimeria meleagrimitis and E. adenoeides) : give a dose of 0.025% per 50 gallons of water .
Treat for two days, skip for three days, treat for two days, skip for three days and treat for two more days. Repeat if necessary. Do not change the litter unless absolutely necessary. Do not give flushing marshes.

If the disease recurs, repeat the treatment. If cholera has become established as the respiratory or chronic form, use feed medicated with Sulphaquinoxaline.
Poultry which have survived typhoid outbreaks should not be kept for laying house replacements or breeders unless tests show they are not carriers.

Contra Indications
In replacement layer birds , medication should be stopped at least 28 days before birds come into lay , and a withdrawal period of 5 days is required for animals or birds destined for human consumption .
