Indications
Gentamycin is indicated for treatment of urinary tract, respiratory tract and soft tissue infections due to Gentamicin sensitive organisms.
Warning & Precautions
Used cautiously in renal impairment.

Dosage
For active ingredients: Dogs & Cats: by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection of 5 mg / kg b.w. twice daily for 24 hours , then once daily for 3-5 days. Horses: by intravenous injection of 5 mg / kg b.w. once daily for 3-5 days . For whole product: Dogs & Cats : By subcutaneous or intramuscular injection of 0.1 ml / kg b.w. twice daily for 24 hours, then once daily for 3-5 days. Horses: by intravenous injection of 0.1 ml / kg b.w. once daily for 3-5 days.
Adverse Reactions
- Vestibular or auditory ototoxicity. - Nephrotoxicity which is reversible once the drug is discontinued.
Contra Indications
- Concurrent use of other drugs that may induce ototoxicity. - Not used for food producing animals. - Neuromuscular disorders (e.g. Myasthenia gravis.). - Pregnant animals, except if the benefits of therapy may exceed the potential risks

- with muscle relaxants, it may cause neuromuscular blockade. - The drug interacts with Chloramphenicol, other aminoglycosides and bacteriostatics.
