Indications
Acute Diseases & Acute Metabolic Disorders: Reduced viability and diseases in newborns. Conditions of weakness in small domestic animals (dogs, cats, etc. ) due to mismanagement . e.g. indoor keeping. Lumbago in horses. In addition to calcium therapy. Chronic diseases and chronic metabolic disorders: Developmental disturbances in young animals due to rearing diseases (e.g. infections, insufficient care and malnutrition , stunted growth ). Feather plucking and cannibalism in poultry. General metabolic disorders of domestic animals: due to inexpedient or unbalanced feeding and their sequelae . Metabolic disturbances in cattle as a result of inadequate feeding conditions, with the following clinical symptoms: Palsy, lack of appetite, chronic indigestion or overloading of the forestomachs, nutritional disorders, reduced milk yield, nervous symptoms, infertility. Secondary anaemia, anaemia due to parasitic infestation, Overexertion, great weariness, exhaustion, for instance after difficult labour, nutritional disorders, emaciation, debility after diseases, worm infestation, etc. Treatment of healthy animals : For increasing the physical power of working-animals, draught –animals, riding animals, race-horses. For increasing the physical power of resistance. For promoting growth, particularly of pups and of young fur-animals. For shortening the moulting – period of poultry .

Dosage
Cafosal may be administered intravenously, intramuscularly or subcutaneously, to poultry in the drinking water. In acute diseases, according to the condition: • Horse, Cattle 5.0 – 25.0 ml • Foal, Calf 5.0 – 12.0 ml • Sheep, Goat 2.5 – 5.0 ml • Lamb 1.5- 2.5 ml • Pig, according to weight 2.5 – 10.0 ml • Sucking – pig 1.0 – 2.5 ml • Dog, according to weight 0.5 - 5.0 ml • Cat and Fur-animals to weight 0.5 – 2.5 ml • Poultry 1.0 ml Treatment should be repeated daily, if necessary. In chronic diseases: Half the dose as stated above, if necessary repetition at intervals of 1 to 2 weeks or less . Treatment of healthy animals : Half the above dose .
